Meet The Maker - Jenny

Meet The Maker, Jenny - the owner of @lettersandlinesart, our small business weekly planner partner.

When and why did you start your small business?

Jenny sells hand illustrated cards and gifts.

"I started my small business in December 2016 when I was having a bit of a low moment and needed something to be excited about. I've always been creative and love to experiment with all sorts of different crafts so I decided to channel that energy into a business. My collection has grown over the years and every design comes from an idea of something I'd like for myself. I figure if I'd buy it, hopefully other people will too!"

What do you enjoy about having your business?

"I love coming up with new ideas for products, getting them back from the printers, unboxing and seeing them in real life for the first time. But the best thing is hearing from people after they've received their order. It's just the best feeling to know you've created something that someone else loves!"

"Every design comes from an idea of something I'd like for myself!"

More about Jenny

"I live in Reading with my husband, one-year-old daughter and Jack the Cockapoo. I run my business on the side of my part-time job in marketing. My other loves include supporting other small businesses, travelling (although yet to attempt with a baby...), Sauvignon blanc and trashy TV shows."

We hope you've enjoyed reading our Meet The Maker series, and getting to know the faces behind the small businesses. The makers are the people who do a happy dance when you place an order or share an Instagram post, the people who wake up early and stay up late to post your orders out, and the people who want to hear your feedback and reviews on each order. If you can, please do follow and support each of the businesses in The Ellesmere Box.

Thank you for reading and we hope you love the businesses as much as we do!
